So the winter is getting serious now here in Moscow, Idaho, what with it raining, being cold and even a few lonely snowflakes have been spotted!! (Please no!)
October is here and autumn smells are in the air. Cora is 5 months old and quite large. We're guessing she's around 20 pounds... one of these days we'll find out at a check-up. She finally rolled over last week and now shows off all the time. Her favorite past-times include reading Clifford the Big Red Dog, sucking on her toes, playing in her exer-saucer, testing her voice box (screaming for fun) and chewing on everything she gets her hands on.
Well, September starts off with Cora being four months old. She hasn't rolled over yet, but she gets onto her side and can't quite make it the rest of the way on her own. She really seems to be teething now but hasn't cut any teeth yet. She's trying out her voice and ends up screaming joyfully most of the time. She's quite ticklish and has the cutest laugh!
Marian, Cora and I just returned from Athol, Idaho, where we spent some time with Susan on her first leave after Marine bootcamp. She healed up finally, although she still has pain, and graduated August 8, 2008. Mom, Dad, Melita, Lucas, Julia and Aiden were all able to attend Family Day and Graduation.
Cora just turned 3 months old on August 3rd. She has changed so much! She's such a smiley and lovable baby. So well-behaved too. She just started laughing recently -- and it's at the most unpredictable things. Sometimes she laughs when I tickle her fat little thighs or if I'm holding her hands and dance her body around along with some weird sounds. So I just keep being goofy in all different ways to see if it has that most adorable laughter effect.
So Cora turned three weeks old last Saturday. She is transforming before our very eyes and we're trying to really value the moments of her infancy since very soon they will give way to moments of her whining and fussing... no, hopefully not!
